Extra Class 'Classes'

Could we start a class to prepare for the Extra License? Might anyone be interested? Bay area Hams?

    You can download the entire question pool from the ARRL Web site, "www.arrl.org". And you can do a Web search for sites that offer sample tests online. Take the online tests until you can consistently get a passing score on them. This is the method I used to upgrade from Advanced to Extra in 2001 without attending any classes.

      IMHO Hands On projects with group study would be beneficial for myself and others looking to upgrade. I have all the Tapes, Books, needed to study, Some of the Techno Grapola causes me to drift, like a old tube set receiver.

        Duke, if you go to www.arrl.org/FandES/courses/ , you should be able to do an on-line search for licensing courses; I don't know which would be "basic", and which would be for the higher licenses, but it doesn't hurt to check around. You might also just want to see if anyone in the sponsoring clubs would be willing to put a class together.
