Re: sf tutorial/ training
Sun, May 23, 2004 - 1:55 PMHi there! I am here in San Francisco, need to get a new radio but I have access to them.
If you are in SF, you can meet other hams by coming up on the CARLA 2 repeater.
N6QOO
Freq: 442.075
pl 100.0
Carla #2 (San Francisco)
If you want training... well, maybe we should meet and talk. It's easiest to get a technician's license. Just start studying for the test, there are online resources for that. Then get a radio and go to town.

You may fight out more about amateur radio by checking
the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Web site:

It has lots of different links and threads. You may
download the entire multiple-choice question pool
(including correct answers) from this site.
Practice license examinations are available online
from the Web site of the West Valley Amateur
