Looking for any good sites to help with a modding project for some EFJ 8655's i picked up.

They're 800/900mhz trunked mobile rigs which i'm looking to adjust for 902Mhz Ham Band.

Thanks,
-A

I doubt if you can mod a trunked radio to work on another band unless you are good at programming and can write new software for it and upload it and make it work or build a computer interface then write a computer program to make it work. Have you looked carefully at the radio? They don't even have any user controls and are completely useless for anything but trunked service. You'd be better off to get rid of them and buy a radio for the band you want. BTW, there are 6 on ebay for $49 if you want some more, item 3072280204. :-)
