I was looking in 'Amateur Radio new products' and I saw this cool portable antenna, it is mainly for 144mhz however for an additional $1.50 they will include an element for 440mhz. The antenna arrived yesterday and it appears to be well made. I plan on putting it on a ' 20ft painters pole' and then making a base that can be used when I am parked. by slipping the base under the rear tire, and slipping the pole into a piece of pipe.The antenna is available from w5ncd and he own's Bosque Communications.
